About

About us

At The Joy Institute, we believe that true fulfillment and success comes from living life to the fullest.

We believe the future is human. In a world that changes ever faster, human nature is the one constant. So we look at uncovering deeper motivations, exploring real behaviours and accessing a state of collaboration, clarity, creativity, connection, compassion, and higher cognitive structures.

We’re in the coaching business, we’re  in the leadership business, we’re in the HR business and the consultancy business and the strategy business and teaching business. All of those, however, are in our more important business of transforming human consciousness and creating connection, curiosity and compassion.

How we do it?

  • Cognitively Diverse – a hybrid team of different skills and backgrounds
  • Agile – flexible in thought and action to get further, faster
  • Empathy led – expert in getting to unspoken motivations and needs
  • Leveraging Human Sciences – including the latest in psychology and anatomy
  • In Partnership – working together with individuals to drive clarity, action and ownership

Carin Dean

Carin Dean

Human interactivity in its various guises is key to all the work I undertake. I studied a degree in languages to understand the nuances of communication and how it relates to our understanding and perception of our world. I supported my majors of French and Italian with sociology and psychology, interweaving human behaviour and interaction with our complex communication framework.

I’ve spent three decades exploring human engagement experience with businesses, brands, organisations and media and how ideas translate to actions and commercial strategies translate to growth.

I’ve spent the last decade exploring the more complex human interaction with self, the body, the brain and each other and how experience, society, institution, beliefs, information and agency shift the way we engage with the world.
